l -ranks of class groups of function fields

We study the asymptotic formulas for the number of -cyclic extensions of the rational function field with prescribed -class numbers, and densities for -cyclic extensions of the rational function field with certain properties on the ideal class groups. The results are analogous to those of F. Gerth in number field case.
