The six Painlev'e equations (P1–P6) were first discovered around the beginning of the twentieth century by Painlev'e, Gambier and their colleagues in an investigation of nonlinear second-order ordinary differential equations. In this talk we consider some important topics related to Painlev'e equations. For example, the Hirota bilinear forms, (P2) hierarchy and connection formulae.
