Florian Block and Lothar Goettsche have recently introduced new polynomial-valued multiplicities for planar tropical curves. It turns out that these multiplicities yield a new invariant way to enumerate planar tropical curves. This new enumeration can be interpreted as quantization of the usual "indiscriminate" number of complex curves. Joint work with Ilia Itenberg.
